Elia has grown considerably in recent years thanks to the commitment, dedication and leadership of the Elia Board of Directors.

This team of volunteers share their time, experience and perspectives for the benefit of Elia's development and position in the language industry.

In October 2016, the terms of four Board Members come to an end, and we are looking for candidates from Elia member companies to help steer Elia’s direction into the future.

The responses from the 2016 Language Industry Survey, a collaboration between Elia, European Master’s in Translation, EUATC, GALA and LIND, have been analysed and the report is now available.

Thank you to everybody for making Together 2016 so memorable!

Together 2016 was the first European conference for language professionals and companies organised by Elia.

It was a great success, with 350+ registrations from 39 countries across 5 continents, a strong Programme Committee, 36 speakers and of course our sponsors, partners and Elia Exchange student volunteers. We couldn’t have made it without the help of so many.

Here we are at the end of 2015. It seems like yesterday I had the pleasure of welcoming you to my city, Lyon, for the spring ND. In the autumn Elia visited Poland for the first time and discovered the preserved city of Krakow, where we held our most successful ND yet. This year we also saw the upswing for Elia Exchange, which bridges the gap between LSPs and universities; we will continue to build on this for 2016. Read more
